# PDF Ghost

> PDF Ghost lets you fingerprint PDFs per-recipient and detect leaks. Upload a document, add recipients, and the platform embeds a unique invisible fingerprint in each copy. If a copy appears somewhere it shouldn't, run a leak check to identify exactly which recipient shared it. Billing is token-based with monthly quotas per plan and purchasable top-up packs.

## Key Concepts

PDF Ghost is organized around **organizations** — teams share a token quota and manage jobs together. A **job** is one fingerprinting run for a single document. Each job has **recipients**: the individuals who will each receive a uniquely fingerprinted copy. Processing a job consumes **tokens** from the organization's balance.

Job lifecycle: **Draft → Pending → In Progress → Completed / Failed**. Jobs can be edited while in Draft. Once submitted, processing is automatic.

**Leak detection** works by uploading a suspected leaked copy. PDF Ghost reads the embedded fingerprint and tells you which recipient's copy it matches.

**Plans and token quotas** (monthly, per organization): Free — 50 tokens, Starter — 500 tokens, Pro — 5,000 tokens, Team — 20,000 tokens. Additional token packs can be purchased at any time: 100 tokens ($9), 500 tokens ($35), 2,000 tokens ($99), 5,000 tokens ($199). Unused monthly tokens do not roll over; purchased pack tokens do not expire.
